I want to tell a neat story about my dear sweet husband. Last night I hear him say "Oh yay! I found it!" Apparently he had been looking for this photo of us clear back from 1991 and he was so excited that he posted it on Face book (a place he rarely likes to go) The caption says Me and my best friend in 91. Cool right? But Wait....there's more....the reason he had been looking so earnestly for it is because he has been carrying this picture and the picture of me in my high school graduation cap and gown for over 20 years in his wallet and they are showing the wear if not nearly ruined. How sweet is it that he has had my pictures with him all this time??? I am not going to pretend that everything has always been perfect but he has been and will always be my truest friend. He loves me in a way I do not understand except that I feel the same for him. We are blessed to experience something this amazing! When we married I KNEW it was right then and it is still right today. I thank my lucky stars every day that I did not question what I knew to be right and allow those who (with the best intentions) try to talk us out of marrying so young. We were 18 and 20. The best decision I have ever made! I don't know much but I KNOW I love him and that he loves me...that may be all I need to know.
I love love love things that make my house smell well.....yummy! These recipes are wonderful for just that! I love to just throw the ingredients into a small saucepan on the stove and let them just barely simmer. (not to be left unattended) This also makes a great neighbor gift! Just deliver the ingredients to a friend with the instructions in a cute embellished bag and TA DA! Cheap, yet wonderful gift!! (plus makes a great humidifier too!) My Favorite Potpourri Recipe 1 lemon cut in fourths 1 apple cut in fourths 1 orange cut in fourths 2 or 3 cinnamon sticks Water to cover Place in a pan and simmer. Holiday Potpourri 1 Orange 1 Lemon 1 Bay Leaf 1 Cinnamon Stick 1/4 Cup Whole Cloves 1. Cut orange and lemon into pieces. 2. Put all ingredients in a sauce pan and cover with water. 3.
