Every family recipe box contains a recipe with a weird name and an even better story. Prison Bars are one of those classic gems. No one is sure where they earned their notorious name, but they've been nestled among yellowing handwritten recipe cards and church cookbooks for years. These vintage bars feature a creamy peanut butter base topped with chocolate frosting. Once you try these old fashioned Prison Bars, they'll be making a regular appearance on your dessert table.

I used to believe that pork chops were meant to be dry. NOT TRUE!!   That was before I learned this trick.  Thick-cut pork chops brined in salt water PRE-COOKING are the way to go! I put my pork chops in Tupperware or freezer bag and dissolve ¼ cup of kosher salt in water. Allow them to sit for at least 8 hours. They will come out juicy and so tender! Just pat dry before cooking them hot and fast. Read 400 degrees for about 20 minutes (maybe less) or grill them I promise you will have crispy, browned meat on the outside and juicy pork on the inside. It's so easy you'll wonder why you never thought of it! Try it--you'll never go back to dry pork chops again!
