Congrats Are In Order!

My sweet little girl is getting Married!! She is so excited and overflowing with happiness and that is all her daddy and I have ever wanted for her.  How can we be anything but overjoyed?! 
Exciting! 
Thought I'd share  Why Marriage” by Mari Nichols-Haining 
in her honor!  
Because to the depths of me, I long to love one person,
With all my heart, my soul, my mind, my body...
Because I need a forever friend to trust with the intimacies of me,
Who won't hold them against me,
Who loves me when I'm unlikable,
Who sees the small child in me, and
Who looks for the divine potential of me...
Because I need to cuddle in the warmth of the night
With someone who thanks God for me,
With someone I feel blessed to hold...
Because marriage means opportunity
To grow in love in friendship...
Because marriage is a discipline
To be added to a list of achievements...
Because marriages do not fail, people fail
When they enter into marriage
Expecting another to make them whole...
Because, knowing this,
I promise myself to take full responsibility
For my spiritual, mental and physical wholeness
I create me, I take half of the responsibility for my marriage
Together we create our marriage...
Because of this understanding
The possibilities are limitless.

    After celebrating my 25th anniversary yesterday.. I love this poem. It's so true, and if you can find a mate with these qualities.. it's a Keeper!! I found such a man and am happy to report... we are doing Fantastic!!! Congratulations to your beautiful daughter!!

    I am so happy for that sweet girl! It is nuts to think that she is getting married when it seems like she was a tiny girl yesterday! I was so proud when she was born- like I had something to do with it! I was the proudest little auntie ever and I still am!!

I love love love things that make my house smell well.....yummy! These recipes are wonderful for just that! I love to just throw the ingredients into a small saucepan on the stove and let them just barely simmer.  (not to be left unattended) This also makes a great neighbor gift! Just deliver the ingredients to a friend with the instructions in a cute embellished  bag and TA DA! Cheap, yet wonderful gift!! (plus makes a great humidifier too!) My Favorite Potpourri Recipe 1 lemon cut in fourths 1 apple cut in fourths 1 orange cut in fourths 2 or 3 cinnamon sticks Water to cover Place in a pan and simmer. Holiday Potpourri 1 Orange 1 Lemon 1 Bay Leaf 1 Cinnamon Stick 1/4 Cup Whole Cloves 1. Cut orange and lemon into pieces. 2. Put all ingredients in a sauce pan and cover with water. 3. Dog Food Dip (trust me this one is awesome!)

  Hi! This dip is a tried and true, loved by all, actually requested for birthdays, kinda dip! It isnt a looker but she is sooo GOOD. You must try her. Its warm cheesy slightly spicy bite is a pleaser! You are going to love this one. We love dipping tortilla chips in but a nice cracker would do well too. You could even use this as a burrito filling!
