Baked Creamy Chicken Taquitos Recipe

This recipe was amazing! I got it from Our Best Bites and have seen it all over the blog world so I knew it had to be delightful and it was exactly as I thought! Give it a try...the only changes I made was that I left the cilantro out because my family doesn't care for it and I doubled it. Enjoy! How to make Drumstick Ice Cream Cones!!

I tried a Black Cow for the first time! (and I don't mean Angus!!)

Have you ever tasted a Black Cow??? I tried one for the first time today and it was delish! If you love root beer floats you will love this recipe! The recipe comes from Managing Your Meals by Winnifred Jardine (which is currently out of print.  How sad!) I use this cookbook almost every day and love it! All you have to do to make a Black Cow is combine equal parts of very chilled root beer and cold milk.  (the recipe calls for rich milk or cream but all we had on hand was regular plain ol' 2%)  Tastes kinda like a melted root beer float! Yummy!!! It doesn't get much easier than that!! Enjoy!

Koolickles-A Southern Thing

This was a fun and tasty treat! Kinda like a sweet and sour pickle! You should give it a try...Next time I think I may add 3 packets of Kool-aid.  PS I found this recipe in the web but cannot remember where...Please if you know let me know so I can give credit where credit is due. Koolickles Ingredients: 1 gallon jar dill pickles 1 lb granulated sugar 2 pkgs unsweetened Kool-Aid Place a colander over a large bowl and drain all of the pickle brine. Do not discard the brine. Mix the sugar and Kool-Aid into the reserved brine and stir well until completely dissolved. Slice the pickles in half lengthwise Return the pickle halves to the original jar. Add the Kool-Aid/brine mixture to cover the pickles; you WILL have leftover brine. Resist the urge to drink it. Seal the jar and place the pickles in the refrigerator for one week. The pickles will absorb the Kool-Aid brine and take on their new color and flavor. Don't be alarmed if the pickles shrink slightly -this is completely

Restaurant Style Salsa-Semi Homemade and Worth it!

This is an adapted recipe of Pioneer Woman's and I LOVE it! (we left our the cilantro and used diced instead of whole tomatoes and we left a little chunk by only pulsing the blender a few times) Try it out! I think you will like it too! Next time I make it I will be tempted to cut back on the jalapeno although my son told me that he likes it just the way it is.  He likes a little kick! Even with the kick it has a great flavor! We really enjoyed it! I actually put it in a rubbermaid container thinking there would be some leftovers but my family of 7 horked it down.  No leftovers.  Bummer.  Good thing its quick and easy!  Thanks Pioneer Woman! Restaurant Style Salsa Ingredients • 1 can (10 Ounce) Diced Tomatoes With Juice • 2 cans (10 Ounce) Rotel (diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies) • ¼ cups Chopped Onion • 1 clove Garlic, Minced • 1 whole Jalapeno, Quartered And Sliced Thin • ¼ teaspoons Sugar • ¼ teaspoons Salt • ½ whole Lime Juice Preparation Instructions Comb

Hot Caramel Apple Cider Starbucks Knock off. Delish!!

I found this most wonderful recipe for Caramel Apple Dip at The Sweet Life and HAD to try it! She mentioned in the post that you could probably put it in some hot apple cider and make a version of Starbucks Caramel Apple Cider.  Yep! That was for me! I did try it! and it was good! Here is the caramel dip recipe...  1 bag of caramel bits or caramel squares {unwrapped} 11-14oz. 1 can sweetened condensed milk {fat free works just great} Combine the caramel bits and milk in a microwave proof bowl or measuring cup and heat a little at a time in the microwave. I start with 1 minute and then 30 second intervals, stirring between each time. You want to just melt the caramel bits. It took me about 2 minutes total, but if you use the caramel squares it might take a little longer. When it’s cool, store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. SO..... I did took the next step she suggested and put about 3 heaping spoonfuls into a cup of steaming hot apple cider and I was in Heaven!! Yum-O! Try

Homemade Refried Beans- SO Good and Good for you too!!

I found this recipe at allrecipes.com (my all time favorite recipe website!) and it is really really good!! Unfortunately it doesn't make for great pictures but I tried anyway. LOL!!! Christmas Morning Breakfast

I love making this recipe for Christmas morning for 2 reasons.  First, I can throw it in the pot the night before and it is ready for us to eat the next morning without any effort. (Hey! At some point it has to be the moms holiday too. Right?) and Second, they get some much candy and sweets from Santa in their stocking I like to have something that is hearty and not sweet.  What do you do about breakfast Christmas morning? We let the kids see what Santa brought them (he doesn't wrap the few items he brings) and they can go through their stockings. At that point we stop and eat breakfast before opening any presents under the tree. It works for us. I'd love to hear what you do for breakfast Christmas morning!! Comment! Please. Crock-pot Breakfast Casserole Ingredients 1 32-ounce bag of frozen southern style hash brown potatoes (aka frozen shredded or tator tot Potatoes) 2 lb. of bacon cut into pieces, fried & drained (or 2 pkg pre cooked) 1/2 c. diced onions 1 green p

Delicious Fish Tacos-Perfectly light recipe for summer!

I love this recipe so much! It took a while for us to make it just right for us but now that we have it is one of my most favorite recipes ever! Luckily for me it is good for you too! FISH TACOS You will need: Jamaican Jerk Marinade Tilapia (we usually need about 2lbs for our 7 member family but you can use how much you will eat at about an oz per taco) Corn tortillas (warmed) 8oz Salsa Verde 16 0z Fat Free Sour Cream Chopped chunky avocado Shredded cheese Black beans drained and rinsed First, place the fish in the marinade and let it soak over night. When it is time to prepare the tacos grill the fillets in the oven broiler for approx 6-8 minutes or until it begins to brown. We used our George Forman Grill for about 4 minutes at a time. Put all the fillets in a bowl. Meanwhile, stir the sour cream and salsa Verde together to make a white sauce. Once all of the cooked fish is in your bowl, gently take a fork and lightly stir or shred until the fish is in a chunky shred. Now place
